Why Choose a Board Certified Orthodontist?
An orthodontist certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) has achieved an elite level within the profession. Not all orthodontists are Board Certified, and completing the rigorous certification process demonstrates Dr. DeLuke’s pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence as an orthodontist.
To obtain certification, one must first pass an eight hour Written Examination covering all areas pertaining to orthodontic treatment including: craniofacial growth and development, bone biology, embryology, anatomy and physiology, radiology, pathology, orthodontic biomechanics and dental materials. After passing the Written Examination one is eligible to sit for the rigorous Clinical Examination, whereby you present, review and defend your treatment of numerous complex orthodontic cases.
Dr. DeLuke is proud to be a Diplomat of the ABO, and strongly believes that it has strengthened his skills as both a diagnostician and clinician.
