Distalization Appliances
These appliances are specially designed to move teeth further back in the mouth, assisting in the correction of a “Class II” bite. They are glued into the mouth and can only be removed by Dr. DeLuke. They are quite comfortable for the patient, and after a few days most patients hardly know the appliance is there.
In order to be completely effective the appliance must remain in the mouth for 9-12 months. The most important thing to ensure that treatment is successful is to KEEP THE APPLIANCE CLEAN. The appliance must be brushed when you brush your teeth!
