Your Initial Visit
The Initial Visit to DeLuke Orthodontics is simply an evaluation/screening of the patient’s orthodontic needs. For the majority of patients, the initial visit is complimentary. However, under certain circumstances (i.e. transfer patients, patients already in treatment with another orthodontist, patients who want their retainers checked, etc.) an office fee may be assessed. You will be notified when you schedule your appointment if this is the case. At this visit, Dr. DeLuke will answer the following questions:
- Is orthodontic treatment indicated?
- Is this the proper time?
- How long will it take?
- What is the approximate cost and what payment
plans are available?
- How do we get started?
If treatment is indicated, a “Records
Visit” will be scheduled. At that visit, a
set of diagnostic records (x-rays, study models and
photographs) will be taken, and exact measurements of
facial and dental development will be made. After examining
these records, Dr. DeLuke will recommend the best course
of treatment and thoroughly review the proposed treatment
plan.
